Exceptional Training and Life Changing Experience

Post Michelle Lucas, 2007 Campaign Liaison, CDCR and the Constitutional Division

In 2007, I was recruited as the Campaign Liaison for CDCR.  I had just moved to Sacramento from spending my life at PBSP.  Small town girl…never parked in parking garages, hadn’t parallel parked since receiving a driver’s license, never rode in an elevator.  What a learning experience Our Promise (formerly CSECC) was for me personally!

The facilitator training I received was the best asset in my career and for personal events.  The network of volunteers you meet are so very helpful in life’s situations.  Connecting the Crisis Nursery with the Department of Corrections was heartwarming and reminds us of the forgotten “little lives” who are lost during legal issues.  They say that your life will be changed forever in this campaign, and it has held true for myself.  Opportunities like this special assignment do not come along very often, and I am forever grateful.
